Rathnelly Day
Every other year, in June, we gather to celebrate the history of Rathnelly Republic with the best neighbourhood street party in Toronto. The first Rathnelly Day was held in 1967 in honour of Canada's centennial. This all-day, all-family event is not to be missed!
RATHNELLY DAY 2022 is set for SATURDAY, JUNE 18 and the theme this year is The ROARING ‘20!
After 2 years of Covid restrictions and social distancing, we are looking forward to being able to once again come together as friends and neighbours and celebrate this unique and very special community we all so happily call home.
Purchasing Tickets:
Tickets are $25 per person (single) or $75 per family (two adults plus kids) and are available for purchase online. Click here to purchase your tickets now.
While there, consider purchasing your RARA 2022 membership (1-year for $25 or 2-years for $50), buying some Rathnelly Day Raffle Tickets (1 for $5 or 3 for $10) or pre-ordering your 2022 Kids Photo ($10).
Donating to Raffle & Silent Auction:
The Rathnelly Day Raffle & Silent Auction is made possible through local business and resident donations and we welcome gift certificates, sporting, music or theatre event tickets, products, service vouchers, etc. Interested in contributing an item for our Raffle & Silent Auction? Getting Involved by Volunteering:
Volunteering for Rathnelly Day is a great way to get to know your neighbours and gain a true appreciation for how special the Republic is. We still need volunteers to help out on the big day: setting up street blockades, helping with breakfast clean up, selling raffle tickets, helping clean up the streets at the end of the night, etc. Click here to sign up to volunteer.
What to Look Forward to on the Big Day:
It all kicks off with a community parade, then a pancake breakfast, kids crafts & games in the Pump Park. There are afternoon activities to enjoy as well - a historical tour of the Republic, an epic game of Capture the Flag, and a Euchre & Gin Rummy card party. We wrap up an incredible day with a kids dinner, kids entertainment, adult mingle, street dinner and dancing.
And there will be contests too! For big and small residents alike - come out in your best Roaring ‘20 attire. And earn bragging rights for best mocktail & cocktail. Sidecars, anyone?
